Caterpillar offers retrofit packages that allow you to use new features on older machines and maximize your resources. And when you complete the Cat Certified Rebuild program, these upgrade kits are part of the recovery process.
EFFECTIVE COMBINATION
For full trucks with minimal loading time, an efficient loading / transport system starts with perfect fit. Cat wheel loaders are combined with Cat off-road dumpers to maximize the amount of material being moved with minimal operating cost per ton. Model 988K, equipped with a standard hitch, will pass 770 (36 tons / 40 tons) in 3 passes and 772 (45 tons / 50 tons) in 4 passes. Equipped with a high-lift attachment, the 988K is capable of loading 773 (56 tons / 61.7 tons) in 5 passes and 775 (64 tons / 70 tons) in 6 passes.

The configuration of the machine, the operator`s technique and the location of the working platform can affect fuel consumption.
Machine Configuration — Choose the right tool and type of tire for your application. Provide proper inflation pressure. Use the economy mode setting for maximum efficiency.
Platform Layout - Locate the loading targets in the correct position. Avoid traveling more than 1.5 tire turns during truck loading cycles. Reduce transport distance for loading and carrying cycles, optimizing the layout of the working area.
Loading bucket - loading in first gear. Quickly lift and tilt the bucket and do not perform a “swinging” movement. Avoid locking the lift lever and use the impeller clutch.
Loading a truck or bunker - Do not raise the working tool above the required level. Maintain low engine speeds and discharge in a controlled manner.
