CONTROL AND DISPLAY

The complete operator interface is designed to meet operator requirements: easy to operate and easy to understand. Pilot-controlled hydraulic attachment controls ensure comfortable, effortless operation. Two uniaxial levers or joystick available. Both devices are equipped with a remote switch. The joystick also has an F-N-R switch. Adjustable steering column includes a manual switch and turn control lever. The dashboard display contains 5 analogue indicators, several color indicator lights and an LCD screen. This intuitive system allows the operator to monitor the correct operation of the machine’s systems.

TRANSPARENCY

The 950 GC cab offers unrivaled viewing area with a wide flat, flat front windshield without distortion. Glass stretches to the floor of the cab, which provides an excellent view of the bucket. The cab roof has channels that direct rain from the corners of the cab, keeping the windows clean. Front and rear wipers provide a clear view. Interior and exterior mirrors are standard. An optional rear view camera is available to keep track of the movement behind the car.

CLIMATE CONTROL

The air conditioning system is standard on the 950 GC. Ten louvered air vents allow the operator to direct the air flow to remain productive and efficient throughout the shift. The controls are conveniently located on the right console. Cab air filters are located in the main unit outside the operator`s working area, which provides excellent filtration and ease of cleaning.

SEATS

A comfortable, mechanically suspended fabric seat provides many adjustments to fit the size and weight of the operator, including forward / backward, height and weight. An air suspension seat is available as an option. The left armrest and headrest are also adjustable.

ENTRANCE AND EXIT

Ladders are available on both sides of the machine for easy access to the platforms. Platforms are equipped with railing and handrails for safe access to the cabin. The main cabin door opens to the front and provides wide access to the operator’s environment.

CAT C7.1 ENGINE

The 950 GC is equipped with a Cat C7.1 engine that meets Stage IIIA (Tier 3) emission standards and is equipped with a fuel injection system specifically designed for fuels available in emerging markets. The engine idle control system (EIMS) minimizes fuel consumption by reducing the engine speed after a certain downtime.

FAN ON DEMAND

The electronically controlled variable speed fan with hydraulic drive is adjustable to meet the different cooling requirements of the machine. This results in lower average fan speeds, lower fuel consumption, noise levels and clogged radiators. In very cold working conditions, the optional fan drive bypass valve allows the machine`s systems to heat up to operating temperatures faster.

TRANSMISSION

The gearbox with a gearshift shaft, designed and manufactured by Caterpillar, is equipped with gears with a high gear ratio, which means that there are always up to three teeth in contact. These heat-treated gears, complemented by reinforced bearings, make this gearbox durable, economical and provide low noise and vibration during operation. It is controlled by a Cat Cat Long Range Electronic Transmission Control Valve (ELRT), which provides full power switching and direction changes. Fully modulated shifts ensure smooth operator performance and make a significant contribution to fast cycles and extended component life.

BRIDGES

Powerful axles with onboard planetary onboard gearboxes and specially machined bevel gears are equipped with wet-disc hydraulic brakes. Limited slip differentials are available for applications where increased traction is required.

SERVICE CENTRES

Hydraulic and electrical service centers provide grouped ground-level access to numerous maintenance and service points, increasing safety and convenience for operators and service technicians. They are conveniently located under access stairs on each side of the machine.

GREASE POINTS

Lubrication fittings for hard-to-reach components are conveniently grouped, providing easy and fast preventive lubrication.

TRACKED DESIGN

The components used to build Cat wheel loaders are designed and manufactured to Caterpillar quality standards at all Caterpillar sites. The Model 950 GC is based on a multi-year heritage of high-performance and highly reliable wheel loaders.

UPDATED CAT DEALER SUPPORT

Cat products offer superior quality, unrivaled reliability, ease of maintenance and repair, and excellent support provided almost exclusively by Cat dealers. Cat dealers spend every step of customer service to maximize machine uptime by providing unmatched support for parts around the world, trained technicians, and customer support agreements. Dealers around the world have been working with Cat customers for several generations.

LEADING SERIES

The Performance Series buckets have an optimized shape, a longer floor, curved side walls and a wider opening, which ensures short loading times, a high filling factor in the range from 100% to 115% and better material retention. They are easy to load and carry more! Unique protection against strait protects the cabin and the elements of thrust from the overflow of material. This design provides safer operation, shorter cycle times, lower fuel consumption and generally higher production efficiency.

Z-BAR LINKAGE

The 950 GC creates an excellent pullout force and a good tilt angle of the rack for better loading of the bucket and for holding the load. Lifting levers provide excellent ground clearance and reach for exceptional compliance with different body heights. Positions of lifting and return to digging can be adjusted on the levers.

HYDRAULIC LOAD DETECTION

Model 950 GC is equipped with a load-sensing hydraulic system, which creates flow and pressure in the system of the unit only when necessary, which increases the productivity of the machine and leads to low fuel consumption. Operators will also notice an excellent balance of power between the wheels and the implements.

TRAIN MANAGEMENT

An optional ride control system improves ride, performance and load retention when driving over rough terrain. Operators gain confidence by moving at higher speeds in the load, and perform operations, reducing cycle time and increasing productivity.

WORK TOOL SETTINGS FOR ALL SUPPORT FUNCTIONS ON YOUR WORK SITE

Various attachments and attachments are available for 950 GC applications. Cat tools are durable, reliable and designed for performance and efficiency with your Cat wheel loader.

QUICK FUSION ™ COUPLING

The Fusion quick attach system provides a single interface for medium and small wheel loaders. The quick coupling allows one machine to use different working tools on the job site. Fusion allows you to select one working tool for the whole range of medium and small wheel loaders. With the Fusion Coupler, the performance is almost identical to the mounted attachments. The clutch leans back close to the loader arm, minimizing displacement, which improves machine performance. The improved wedging mechanism provides a tight fit without a ratchet, which increases the service life of the coupling and attachments. The frame design with an open clutch clears the lines of vision from the operator’s seat to the load. Loading and unloading are performed confidently and quickly with good visibility of the tool and load.
