POWER

The Cat C27 ACERT diesel engine provides 5% extra power for the transmission. As a result, new and more reliable transmission components, including a larger drive shaft and differential gears, have been developed for power control.

TECHNOLOGY

The G series introduces a new shift control strategy called APECS. APECS takes advantage of electronic clutch pressure control (ECPC) and adds partial throttle throttle and torque control. The result is an exceptionally smooth car-style shift and ride quality. APECS also maintains torque and impulse during shifts; performance improvement estimated. The result is a quick start from the spot and exceptionally smooth gear shifting and ride quality.

INTELLIGENCE

The new traction control system (TCS) is now sensitive to steering to distinguish between spinning and turning at high speeds. Currently, the system uses hydraulic service brakes (compared to spring-loaded secondary brakes), which allows it to turn on and work at lower speeds faster. TCS G-Series instantly modulates power and braking between the two wheel groups, which allows you to more adequately respond to the condition of the soil and quickly return the truck to a stable position.

FUEL ECONOMY STRATEGIES

  • Standard Economy Mode - the G Series can adjust engine power to your individual needs. Thanks to this feature, fuel savings are achieved by reducing power from 0.15 to 15 percent.

  • Adaptive economy mode - new for the G series - requires you to baseline for production. As the truck travels through a cycle, it constantly compares your baseline with power reduction and fuel economy. This is a fully automatic mode without special operations.

  • Speed Limit - While you can continue to limit the transmission of your G-series trucks, Caterpillar offers another alternative that you can use - a new speed limit feature. Speed limit allows the truck to move on the most economical gear.

  • Auto Neutral Idle - when the 775G waits for a loader or crusher at idle in forward gear, the transmission automatically goes into neutral to avoid stopping the torque converter and increasing engine speed. As soon as the operator releases the brake or presses the gas, the truck instantly returns to forward gear.

  • Shutting down the engine at idle speed - when your G-series truck is in parking mode and idling longer than a predetermined time set by the client, the truck initiates the engine shutdown to save fuel. This feature can be timed or turned on or off to suit your needs.

NEW BRAKE DESIGN

The G series has increased the number of springs in its brake design. This increases the effort available to decouple the brakes, maintaining clearances while reducing wear. A new brake wear indicator can be found on the rear wheels to help you monitor brake life.

Extending brake life can also be achieved by selecting the optional Cat engine brake. This Caterpillar design works in conjunction with ARC to slow the machine down.

REAR WHEELED STEEL SPINDLES

The wheel spindles of the G series are made of durable steel and are interchangeable from one side to the other, which increases their service life.

DETAINED REAR CYLINDERS

For the G Series, Caterpillar turned over the rear suspension cylinders to better protect the connecting rods, keeping them clean for a long time.

CONSTRUCTIONS

Updated castings, improved bolted joints and an extended rear axle made it possible to align the chassis design with higher power and operational characteristics of the truck.

ENGINE

The G Series trucks retain the high-performance and reliable Cat C27 ACERT diesel engine.

  • With an increase in power of 5%, the C27 provides higher torque for operation.

  • With precision and speed of Cat MEUI ™ fuel injectors and electronic controls, the C27 precisely controls fuel consumption, emissions and performance.

  • C27 is carefully balanced with vibration controls that reduce noise and protect against unnecessary wear.

  • C27 is cooled by a fan or an ordinary fan.

PLANETARY TRANSMISSION

Thanks to new management strategies, this proven transmission has become even better than ever. Its new features include gear changes, as smooth as in a car, and more torque during gear changes, which speeds up the truck and speeds up the coordination of estimates.

EMISSIONS CONTROL - BASIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR AIR QUALITY, USING EASY USE, RELIABLE SOLUTIONS

For customers who buy trucks outside of North America, Caterpillar offers emission controls similar to those used for Tier 2 / Stage II standards.

Two additional liner packages for Flat Floor and Dual Slope bodies are available from the factory:

  • A 16 mm (0.62 in) steel liner 400 BNH

  • 102 mm (4.01 in.) Rubber liner

  • Sideboards are optional from the factory for flat floor or double slope bodies.

  • The body heat removal kit is optional for two-slope bodies and flat floors.

You will find additional body specifications at the end of this document.

Policy CATERPILLAR 10/10/20

The Caterpillar 10/10/20 “Payload” policy is designed to help you extend component life and improve the availability of your truck. Your Cat dealer can explain the 10/10/20 payload policy in more detail. For optimal body life, Caterpillar recommends that the payload is 110%, not more than 10% of the time, and the average for all loads is equal to the nominal payload. The payload of more than 120% of the nominal exceeds the design parameters of the truck.

DASHBOARD

The instrument cluster is mainly used by the operator for quick and easy information about the machine. This display also alerts the operator about continuous lighting (category 1 warnings) or flashing lights (category 2 or 3 warnings), as well as an audible alarm when an event occurs.

CAT ADVISOR DISPLAY

The EA display has five menus: 1. Operator: allows 10 people to customize individual profiles and preferences. 2. Monitor: displays four parameters on the screen, including: Payload — There are three sections: Payload Status, Payload, and Target. The state of the payload - displays "Loading", "Last Pass" or "Loaded." Payload - displays the calculated weight of the payload, the weight is taken twice to confirm. Target - displays target payload. 3. Service: diagnostics, including events, data logger, parameters, calibrations and much more. 4. Settings: set specific targets for auto-love intervals, speed limits and more. 5. Service mode: portal for password protected parameters.
