CAT® C175-16 ENGINE

The 793F is equipped with an air-cooled four-cylinder diesel engine followed by a Cat C175-16 turbocharged engine that has enhanced power management capabilities for maximum thrust performance in the most demanding mining jobs.

  • The C175-16 is a 16-cylinder four-stroke design that uses long effective strokes for maximum efficiency.

  • Meets the requirements of the US Environmental Protection Agency.

  • Increasing the torque by 20% in the C175-16 provides unparalleled traction during acceleration on steep inclines and under difficult conditions under your feet. Torque boost effectively corresponds to shift points for maximum efficiency and short cycle times.

  • High displacement, low RPM rating and conservative horse power mean more time on the road and less time in the store.

  • The Cat Common Rail fuel system is an electronically controlled system that determines operating conditions and regulates fuel delivery for optimum fuel efficiency. This precise and flexible fuel system allows the engine to meet emission standards without sacrificing performance, reliability or durability.

  • The flexible design of the MESABI radiator core provides ease of maintenance, as well as long service life and durability.

  • You have two starter options: the standard air start system is serviced at ground level, and the electric start option allows you to completely remove the air system from the truck.
