IMPROVED EFFICIENCY AND COMFORT OPERATOR

You measure the profitability of the ore you produce, and the more effectively you do it, the more successful you are. While drilling, draglines, loaders and dump trucks are responsible for mining ore, motor graders directly affect the performance of these machines, in particular, their role in road maintenance.

• 18-foot molding shield - 18M3 includes a standard 18-foot molding board and a straight cutting edge of 10 inches by 1 3/8 inches, which allows the operator to increase coverage by 12.5% ā€‹ā€‹compared to a 16-foot molding board. In addition, the operator can use a more aggressive blade angle and still be able to put off the swath from the tires in order to protect its service life. Using a more aggressive blade tilt angle reduces the load on the machine and the ability to better maintain ground speed to improve performance.

• 18M3 power levels and optimized variable horsepower (VHP) power - compared to 16M3, 18M3 has an average of 5% more power. The extra power combined with the 18-foot blade and the right weight balance provides the best combination of performance and coverage. The optimized variable horsepower (VHP) power is designed to provide the ideal amount of power on all gears to efficiently perform the various tasks of the grader while protecting the design and components of the transmission.

• Machine balance - thanks to an optimized combination of weight and balance, the 18M3 provides improved grip and the ability to maintain speed, especially when transferring a large load on the board.

• Simple, operator-friendly emissions technology - the 18M3 is available with three C13 engine options with ACERT ™ technology. One meets US EPA Tier 4 Final / EU Stage IV / Japan 2014 emission standards (Tier 4 Final) and is required for sale in countries with higher levels of regulation. Other options will be able to meet Tier 2 / Tier II / Japan 2001 (Tier 2) emission standards or Tier 3 / Phase IIIA / Japan 2006 (Tier 3) emission standards, depending on the specific country emission standards. The emission reduction technology in the 18M3 grader is designed to be transparent, without any action from the operator.

• Rear ripper / scarifier - designed for quick penetration into durable material and careful tearing to facilitate movement with the blade. The 18M3 includes a standard three-shank ripper with the option of adding four more for added versatility.

• Comfort and control — the multi-color / touch screen information display is the operator`s gateway to monitor machine performance, a convenient way to change machine parameters to adapt performance to the current task and access service information for initial troubleshooting.

• Monitor, manage, and improve on-site work — Cat Product Link ™ Elite is deeply integrated into your machine, helping you to guess the guesses while operating equipment. Easy access to timely information, such as car location, hours of operation, fuel consumption, idle time and event codes, through the VisionLink® online interface will help you manage your fleet efficiently and reduce operating costs.

REDUCTION OF OPERATIONAL COST

High mechanical availability is one of your main concerns. 18M3 helps reduce downtime and operating costs by improving serviceability, saving fuel and reducing maintenance costs. The main components are modular, so most of them can be removed and reinstalled without interfering with other components.• Using less fuel - Fuel Economy Mode (ECO) increases fuel economy by reducing the engine idling speed while maintaining the power of the car. ECO Mode controls the high idle speed of the engine (limited to 1900 rpm in working gears) to ensure maximum engine performance in terms of fuel consumption. ECO mode can provide significant fuel savings, especially in operations that typically operate under light and moderate loads, high idling speeds and using gears from 3R to 5F.• Designed for maximum performance and service life. The shift of the central part of the front frame is made of high-strength steel casting, which improves the stress distribution in this area of ā€‹ā€‹high load to increase the service life. The rear frame design is extended to provide easy access for servicing components in the engine cover, as well as to improve the balance of the machine. The front axle steering cylinder was designed to increase durability, and hydraulic hoses are routed to increase reliability.

• Standard Front Axle Protection — Front protection helps protect the front axle from stones and other contaminants that may damage the axle or its components.

• Standard protective casing - The protective casing provides steel protection against earth splinters.

• Ease of maintenance — A modular cooling package simplifies the removal and installation of cooling system components, which reduces maintenance time. The engine compartment doors provide full and easy access to the engine without any obstacles to the rack. In addition, extended maintenance intervals reduce touch and downtime.

• Protecting your property — from Good to Start — and critical fluid level monitoring systems help prevent damage to critical components when there is a low liquid level. All information is available via the in-cab information display, and diagnostic codes are recorded.

SECURITY

You consider the safety of your employees a top priority, and we are doing everything we can to help you achieve your safety goals. Caterpillar takes into account the safety of everyone who is on or near Cat equipment when developing new products or improving the safety features of existing products. 18M3 has many security features, such as, but not limited to:

• tandem access

• LED (LED) housing maintenance LEDs

• Seat belt indication

• Ready fire extinguishing system

• Rear View Camera

• Access platform - optional

• Service access platform - optional
