STATION OPERATOR

The ergonomic workplace of the operator is spacious, quiet and comfortable, providing high performance for a long working day. All switches are located in front of the operator for easy access.

CAB STRUCTURE AND FASTENINGS

The cab body is attached to the frame with rubber mounts that reduce vibration and noise, while increasing your comfort. Thick steel pipes along the lower perimeter improve the cab resistance to fatigue and vibration.

OUTDOOR CABIN - PROTECTIVE DESIGN (ROPS)

The 349D2 L comes standard with a ROPS-compliant cab design (roll-over protection). This design also allows you to attach a falling object protection system (FOGS) or front windshield protection directly to the cab, either at the factory or in the field, which allows the machine to meet all the requirements of the working platform.

SEATS

Suspended seat provides many adjustments to accommodate a wide range of operators. The seat includes a reclining back, top and bottom slider adjustment, as well as height and tilt adjustment to meet your comfort and performance needs.

Monitor

The monitor is a full-color liquid crystal display (LCD) with the ability to display information in 28 languages.

OYSTICK CONTROL AND CONSOLE

The effortless joystick is designed to match the natural position of the wrist and hand for maximum comfort and minimum fatigue. The right and left joystick console can be adjusted to suit your individual preferences, improving overall comfort and performance over the course of a long working day.

CLIMATE CONTROL

Positive filtering and pressurized cabin ventilation is standard. Fresh air or recirculated air can be selected using the switch on the left console.

WINDOWS AND WIPERS

All windows are attached directly to the cabin to provide maximum visibility, excluding window frames. The top front windshield opens, closes and is stored on the roof above the operator using a one-touch unlock system. Wipers installed on the rack increase the field of view and provide continuous and intermittent modes.

ENGINE

The cost of owning and operating the 349D2 L was reduced by returning to the optimized economy mode each time the machine was started, regardless of which mode the operator had previously selected. This will help reduce fuel consumption by up to 9 percent compared to its predecessor, moving the same amount of material.

EMISSION STANDARDS

The Cat C13 ACERT engine includes proven, reliable components and precise manufacturing that can be counted on for reliable and efficient performance.

FUEL SYSTEM

The Cat C13 ACERT is equipped with an electronic control system that controls the power-driven fuel injection system (MEUI ™). MEUI provides the high pressure needed to provide better fuel economy due to finer atomization of the fuel and more complete combustion.

ADEM ™ A4 ENGINE CONTROLLER

The electronic control module ADEM A4 controls the fuel supply, ensuring maximum performance per liter of fuel used. The engine management system provides flexible fuel mapping, allowing the engine to respond quickly to changing application needs. It monitors the state of the engine and the car, while at the same time maintaining the engine with maximum efficiency.

Turbocharger

The Cat C13 ACERT uses a rear throttle turbocharger to improve performance.

The bypass valve controls engine overpressure, allowing exhaust to bypass the turbine on the exhaust side.

Gates also reduce turbine wear at high speeds; low load conditions and optimizes air and fuel supply for maximum engine performance.

The turbocharger increases air density, allowing the engine to produce more power with minimal height impact.

AIR CLEANER

The radial seal air filter has a double-layer filter core for more efficient filtration and is located in the compartment behind the cab. A warning is displayed on the monitor when dust accumulates above a predetermined level.

LOW SOUND AND VIBRATION LEVELS

Engine mounts are rubber isolation mounts combined with a motor kit for optimum noise and vibration reduction. Further noise reduction was achieved by changing the design of the insulated top cover, oil pan, multiple injection strategy, insulated timing cover, sculpted engine crankcase.

PILOT SYSTEM

An independent pilot pump ensures smooth and precise control of the front linkage, turn and stroke.

SCHEME OF COMPONENTS

Component layout and hydraulic system design provide the highest level of system efficiency. The main pumps, control valve and hydraulic tank are located as close as possible to each other. This design allows the use of shorter tubes and lines between components, reducing friction losses and pressure drops.

HYDRAULIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

Hydraulic cross read uses each of two hydraulic pumps with up to 100 percent engine power under all operating conditions. This improves performance due to higher attachment speeds and faster and stronger turns.

BOOM REGENERATION CHAINS AND STICKS

The hydraulically actuated handle regeneration circuit saves energy and improves versatility while the handle is operating. The boom regeneration circuit operates electrically and this system is controlled by the ECM of the machine. The system reduces cycle times and fuel efficiency, increasing productivity and reducing operating costs.

Boom and swing priority

The 349D2 L hydraulic system provides an automatic priority function for lifting and turning operations, eliminating the need for operating mode buttons. When the boom arm or pivot arm is activated, the system automatically assigns a priority depending on the requirements of the operator.

HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS

Shock absorbers are located at the end of the boom cylinder rods and at both ends of the handle cylinders to cushion shocks while reducing noise and extending the life of components and structures.

BASIC FRAME

The box-shaped X-shaped body of the body provides excellent torsional resistance to bending, and the pressed frames of the tracked rollers welded in the press provide exceptional strength and durability.

ROLLERS AND SERIES

Sealed and lubricated support rollers, support rollers and rollers provide excellent service life, allowing your machine to work in the field and work longer.

TRACK ROLLER FRAME - FIXED RANGE

A stamped pentagonal section is used for the track frame, which is welded by a robot to ensure stability and quality of welding. The caterpillar frame is designed in such a way that the upper part of the caterpillar frame has a steep angle to prevent the accumulation of dirt and debris.

Counterweights

The standard 9.9 t (9.9 t) counterweight supports greater carrying capacity and excellent stability. It is bolted directly to the main frame for added rigidity.

TRACK

Cat robust chassis absorbs load and provides excellent stability. Standard equipment includes 349D2 L tracks with lubrication. Track links are assembled and sealed with grease to reduce wear on the inner sleeve, reduce driving noise and increase service life, which reduces operating costs.

BOOMS AND STICKS

349D2 L is offered with a variety of arrows and handles. Each of them is built with internal partitions and removed from the loads for additional strength, and each passes ultrasonic testing to ensure quality and reliability. Large box-section structures with thick multi-plate structures, castings and forgings are used in high-voltage areas, such as the boom nose, boom leg, boom cylinder and handle leg to improve wear resistance. In addition, the boom pin retention method is a captured flag to increase durability.

REACH FORWARD COMMUNICATION *

The Reach Arrow is designed for balancing production, digging buckets, offering a wide range of applications such as digging, loading and trenching.

To meet all the requirements of your application, three reachability options are available:

A 2.9 m (9 ft 6 in.) Long handle is best used when working mainly on forklifts to maximize breakout force and increase bucket fill factor.

The 3.35 m (11`0 ") handle is a versatile option that will satisfy the needs of most of your building applications.

The 3.9 m (12`10 ") handle is a great choice when you need an extra working range, such as loading a truck and deep trenches.

MASS FORWARD COMMUNICATION *

The massive bulkwork (ME) front linkage is designed to maximize machine productivity thanks to excellent digging efforts and greater bucket capacity. The mass excavation boom with a diameter of 6.55 m (21`6 ") is reinforced with a large cross section for increased service life and durability.

The ME bar has two handles to meet your demanding applications:

A 2.5 m (8 ft 2 in.) ME grip is best suited for loading onto a bench. This option also provides better breakout force for the ripper and is ideal for use with a hammer.

A 3.0m (9`10 ") ME grip is best when you mostly use large capacity buckets in truck loading applications to maximize breakout force.

EXTENDED SERVICE INTERVALS

Extended service and maintenance intervals increase machine availability. Maintenance intervals for engine oil and engine oil filter have been extended to 500 hours

CAPSULAR FILTER

Hydraulic return filters are located in the hydraulic tank. Filter elements are removable without spilling hydraulic oil.

PILOT HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FILTER

The pilot hydraulic filter retains contaminants from the pilot system and is located in the pump compartment.

RADIAL PRINTING MAIN AIR CLEANING

The main air cleaner with radial seal and pre-filter has a two-layer filter element for more efficient filtration. No tooling is required to change an item.

FUEL-WATER SEPARATOR

The water separator has a main fuel filter element and is located in the air filter compartment for easy access from the ground.

SERVICE POINTS

Service points are located in the center with easy access to facilitate ongoing maintenance.

SAMPLES OF OIL SAMPLE AND PRESSURE

Oil sampling and pressure ports provide easy inspection of the condition of the machine and are standard for each machine.
