Caterpillar EXCAVATOR - catalog of spare parts

Hydraulic excavator is designed to perform excavation and loading operations. This self-propelled machine is equipped with a tracked or wheeled undercarriage on which a turntable with an operator`s cabin, engine and attachments is installed. As a working body mounted composite boom with a bucket, driven by a hydraulic system. The special equipment of this type belongs to the category of cyclic and performs the sequence of operations:

digging (cutting) of the soil with the last filling of the bucket cavity;

relocation and unloading of the working body;

return the bucket to the place of digging in the face.

The duration of the operating cycle is from 10 to 90 seconds and is determined by external conditions, as well as the parameters of a particular model.

Both mini and mine hydraulic excavators are single-bucket machines of cyclic action. In accordance with the generally accepted classification of a special technique of this type is characterized by the presence of:

tracked propulsion or wheelbase;

diesel engine that drives all working mechanisms;

hydraulic systems with a main pump with variable capacity and an electronic unit controlling its operation;

direct or reverse shovel, which has a rigid hinge connection with the boom.

Quarry excavators can be equipped with buckets for different types of soil, including special ones designed for working with high density materials. Such equipment is characterized by resistance to wear and is usually supplied in addition to the order of special equipment.

Hydraulic machines are more mobile and technologically flexible than mechanical ones. Excavators have a reduced weight, so they can work with both forward and reverse shovel. Hydraulic models are preferred for performing operations in complex geological conditions.
