MAXIMUM WORK
Each equivalent Cat Level 2 / Stage II or Level 3 / Stage IIIA engine is equipped with a combination of proven electronic components, fuel, air, and components for further processing. The right technologies, finely tuned for the right applications, provide:
Proven electronic, fuel, air and extra components for maximum performance, durability and emission control.
Improved fuel economy.
Reduced maintenance costs.
Improved MEUI-C injection platforms provide increased injection pressure and more accurate fuel consumption. These durable injectors improve responsiveness while controlling soot.
Innovative air management optimizes airflow, power, efficiency and reliability.
Transmission Features Advanced Electronic Performance Management Strategy (APECS) and Electronic Clutch Pressure Control (ECPC).
Smooth switching
Higher performance
The gearshifts are configured to maintain direct drive locking and to minimize the incidence of a drive to the converter to maintain travel speed and avoidance.
High-capacity torque converter provides maximum power transmitted to the transmission.
Motor compression brake improves brake response and increases brake power.
AUTOMATIC CONTROL
Advanced automatic traction control (AATC) actively applies cross-axle and axle differential locking “on the go.” Operators are exempted from this feature to focus on movement / loading / unloading. Sensors monitor the speed of the car and wheels, providing instant response in conditions of high rolling resistance. Work smooth and smooth, which eliminates wheel slip for maximum traction and performance.
Clutches are automatically shut off when ground conditions allow, which ensures maximum efficiency when taxiing or on uneven ground.
AATC reduces the risk of using tires and transmissions, eliminates the loss of machine efficiency caused by improper manual control of the clutch differential, and reduces tire wear.
Automatic retarder control (ARC) automates the retarder for the operator. Like the AATC, several aspects of the operation of the machine are monitored. If necessary, the engine compression brake is activated automatically to control the speed of the machine when the slope is lowered. The system can help eliminate engine overspeed, improve machine safety, and shorten the cycle time, but it also has the flexibility of manual control if necessary.
New auxiliary lift control automates the reset function. Press the new body up / down switch and the car will apply the service brakes, shift the gearbox to neutral, and raise the case at the desired engine speed. Lowering the body in the same way, press the switch and the machine will lower the case and place it in the float.
Hill Assist reduces the potential "rollback" in the estimates. If the operator stops the machine on a slope when he takes his foot off the service brake pedal, the machine automatically holds the service brakes to prevent the machine from moving backwards.
The standby brake includes service brakes when a neutral gear is selected, which allows you to quickly and easily control the machine in the loading or unloading area.
HEAVY-DUTY CONSTRUCTION
All three axes provide stability using oscillating frames with lateral transverse rods. Work at a productive speed with confidence, virtually eliminating shock loads on truck components.
The front suspension oscillates ± 6 °, driven by large low-pressure cylinders, which promotes smooth ride. A-frame with lateral transverse connection controls lateral movement and contributes to stability.
The rear suspension has a chassis beam and long-lasting suspension mounts that optimize travel and load retention.
New fully enclosed wet disc braking systems inside the axles prevent contamination, prolonging the life of the machine and ensuring smooth operation.
OPERATOR COMFORT AND CONTROL
A spacious cabin provides comfort throughout the shift and is 7 dB quieter than the previous model.
The unique lever / lift combination is intuitive and increases cycle time with fewer control movements.
The instructor / passenger seat is fully complemented by a wide retractable seat belt for safety and comfort.
A new large side storage box is heated / cooled by the HVAC system.
The air suspension seat offers greater comfort, with a greater range of adjustment. Front / rear insulation significantly reduces vibrations and bumps. Each operator will find the settings to ensure comfort and control throughout the shift.
A standard cooling / heating system provides comfort in all conditions.
The optional four-point seat belt allows the operator to stay in place and feel comfortable on rough terrain.
An integrated circular bar means that all sensors and controls are easy to monitor and access. Automotive experience with the famous industrial power of Caterpillar.
An updated touch-screen display mounted on the dashboard allows the operator to monitor and adjust various levels of performance and machine status, as well as vehicle alert categories. They include configuration parameters, the total number of operators and the car, service information, various parameters of the state of the machine, information about the payload of the machine (if installed), assistance in stabilization and video from the rear view camera.
An optional Bluetooth ™ entertainment system allows the operator to communicate by phone without hands.
CREATED FOR IMPLEMENTATION
The front frame of the box section firmly withstands torque. The frame design reduces the load on the hitch and optimizes the suspension geometry.
The rear frame has a twin box that minimizes stress and increases service life.
The articulated coupling provides the loader with an articulation, and the oscillation ensures full contact with the wheel on rough terrain.
The tried-and-tested design of the two parts of the hitch is equipped with a robust cast steel head bolted to a strong forged steel pipe.
The body design of the truck provides a large target area for a constant load capacity, increasing productivity. The scattering flow during discharge contributes to the outflow of material from the housing, which improves performance and avoids transfer.
The output transmission distributes the drive to the tractor and trailer and engages a wet clutch differential lock for optimal grip in poor conditions under your feet.
Hydraulic brake system with all-wheel drive drives closed multi-disc multi-disc brakes with oil immersion and independent front and rear circuits and batteries. This all-wheel dual circuit brake system provides the braking performance you need to maximize performance.
The parking brake is located on the central axis in the raised position, it is pressed by the spring and released hydraulically.
TECHNOLOGY THAT MUST WORK
Cat Product Link provides a wireless connection to your equipment, giving you valuable information about how your car or fleet works. The system tracks location, hours, fuel consumption, performance, downtime, and diagnostic codes using the VisionLink interactive user interface so you can make informed decisions in a timely manner to maximize efficiency, increase productivity, and reduce costs.
Cat Production Measurement provides in-cab payload weighing, which helps optimize work site efficiency and productivity. Operators can see the weight of the load in real time on the built-in display and know exactly when the goal is reached, while the cab mounted external indicators of the payload at all four corners signal to the operator of the loader when to stop, reducing the risk of overloading the machine. Operators can monitor the daily performance from the cab thanks to quick access to truck payload weights, number of loads and cycles, as well as daily amounts; or remotely via LINK technology.
The cat detection function using the stabilization system warns the operator if the machine approaches the preset angle during operation; when driving and tip. When using an auxiliary lift, the machine will stop lifting the body and give an audible and visual warning. The system monitors the tractor, trailer and incline angles independently of each other. This increases the operator`s awareness of the stability of the machine during operation. All tractor and / or trailer tipping events are recorded and transmitted via VisionLink.
BECAUSE ONLY ACCOUNTS
Caterpillar design, manufacturing and customer service ensure maximum productivity and uptime.
Long service intervals keep your machine running.
Lubrication points are grouped next to the hitch for quick and easy maintenance.
Universal seams are sealed and lubricated for long life.
An optional auto-love system saves time and includes alerts via Product Link for low levels and fault codes.
The radiator package is located behind the cab for protection and uses coolant with an extended service life to increase replacement intervals.
The service center is located inside the cab and is equipped with a power port, a diagnostic connector and a Cat Data Link connector for use with a laptop equipped with Electronic Technician software (ET).
Easy access to the transmission, drive shafts, hydraulic pumps and electrical and hydraulic interfaces thanks to the cab tilted to the side and the access panel.
Service points are conveniently located on the left side of the engine, under the electrically raised hood.
The goal of your Cat dealer is full customer support. Starting with advice on product selection, operating costs, operation, maintenance and ending with decisions about when and whether to replace or rebuild, your dealer is always with you.
