Caterpillar ARTICULATED TRUCKS - catalog of spare parts
Caterpillar develops and operates with great care for the environment.
The Cat C9.3 engine includes a Cat Clean emission module (CEM) to meet Tier 4 Final / Stage IV emission standards. The system uses both ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) and biodiesel up to B20 mixed with ULSD.
All Cat C Series articulated dump trucks are designed for a long life cycle with machines using remanufactured components and machines to maximize every detail, minimizing waste.

MAXIMUM WORK
Each Cat level 2 / Stage II equivalent engine is equipped with proven electronic, fuel, air, and optional components.
Proven electronic, fuel, air and accessory components for maximum performance and durability.
Control emissions and improve fuel economy.
Improved MEUI-C injection platforms provide increased injection pressure and more accurate fuel consumption. These durable injectors improve responsiveness while controlling soot.
Innovative air management optimizes airflow, power, efficiency and reliability.
The Cat TH31`s six-speed, single speed reverse transmission is equipped with an advanced electronic performance control strategy (APECS) and electronic clutch pressure control (ECPC), which provide smooth gear shifting with improved acceleration and higher performance.
A high-capacity torque converter configured for off-road applications allows more efficient transmission of higher engine power to a lower power train.
Motor compression brake improves brake response and increases brake power.
AUTOMATIC CONTROL
Automatic traction control (ATC) enables cross-axle and axle differential locking on the move, providing the operator with optimum grip when conditions change.
Clutches are released automatically to avoid conflict during sharp turns.
The ATC system reduces tire and transmission wear, eliminating the loss of efficiency that can occur when improperly operated manually.
The regeneration system provides on-the-fly regeneration when conditions are correct and regeneration at low idle speeds. The operator can start the manual regeneration by stopping the machine and pressing the regeneration switch.
HEAVY-DUTY CONSTRUCTION
All three axes provide stability using oscillating frames with lateral transverse rods. Work at a productive speed with confidence, virtually eliminating shock loads on truck components.
The front suspension oscillates ± 6 °, driven by large low-pressure cylinders, which promotes smooth ride.
The rear suspension has a chassis beam and long-lasting suspension mounts that optimize travel and load retention.
New fully enclosed wet disc braking systems inside the axles prevent contamination, prolonging the life of the machine and ensuring smooth operation.
OPERATOR COMFORT AND CONTROL
The spacious cabin provides comfort throughout the shift.
The instructor / passenger seat is fully complemented by a wide retractable seat belt for safety and comfort.
The storage area behind the operator is larger with easier access.
The air suspension seat provides greater comfort, adjustable damping and a movement zone indicator. Fully adjustable, allowing optimum working position.
A standard cooling / heating system provides comfort in all conditions.
The optional four-point seat belt allows the operator to stay in place and feel comfortable on rough terrain.
An integrated circular bar means that all sensors and controls are easy to monitor and access. Automotive experience with the famous industrial power of Caterpillar.
The color display panel provides performance and status pages, and also includes a video stream from the rear view camera and the payload of the machine (if available).
An optional Bluetooth ™ entertainment system allows the operator to communicate by phone without hands.
CREATED FOR IMPLEMENTATION
The front and rear frames of the box absorb the load and optimize the suspension geometry.
The body design of the truck provides a large target area for a constant load capacity, increasing productivity.
The output transmission distributes power to the tractor and trailer for optimum traction. Wet grip ensures durability.
The dual-wheel braking system uses a four-wheel drive hydraulic system that drives the oil-immersed multi-disc brakes. Independent front and rear chains and batteries provide smooth control.
The parking brake of the central axis is raised from damage. The spring is applied with hydraulic release.
TECHNOLOGY THAT MUST WORK
Product Link ™ connects owners with their equipment, providing access to machine data, such as location, hours, fuel consumption, downtime and events, as well as diagnostic codes.
BECAUSE ONLY ACCOUNTS
Caterpillar design, manufacturing and customer service ensure maximum productivity and uptime.
Long service intervals keep your machine running.
Lubrication points are grouped next to the hitch for quick and easy maintenance.
Universal seams are sealed and lubricated for long life.
An optional auto-love system saves time and includes alerts via Product Link for low levels and fault codes.
The radiator package is located behind the cab for protection and uses coolant with an extended service life to increase replacement intervals.
The service center is located inside the cab and is equipped with a power port, a diagnostic connector and a Cat Data Link connector for use with a laptop equipped with Electronic Technician software (ET).
Easy access to the transmission, drive shafts, hydraulic pumps and electrical and hydraulic interfaces thanks to the cab tilted to the side and the access panel.
Service points are conveniently located on the left side of the engine, under the electrically raised hood.
BUILT-IN SAFETY FEATURES
Rollover Standard Rollover Protection System (ROPS) and Falling Object Protection System (FOPS) protect operators.
725C2 includes a rear-view camera system that provides a continuous panoramic rear view or is activated only when reverse is selected.
Optional and parking brake functions with spring / hydraulic release for added safety.
Systems allow shutdown and prohibit ground level starting. Includes external motor shutdown and electrical system shutdown.
The electro-hydraulic secondary steering is automatically activated in the forward / reverse direction or in a stationary state if low pressure is felt, maintaining full steering control.
Perforated steel, slip resistant tracks work with extensive handrails and internal / external handrails, increasing access / exit security.
75 mm (3 in) wide seat belts securely hold the operator and passenger in place.
Visibility is optimized thanks to a wide hood design and wide-angle mirrors.
Alarms notify the operator when the body is in the raised position and when reverse gear is selected.
The maximum speed limiter can be set depending on the conditions.
The locking pin can be activated when the body is raised for inspection and maintenance.
