The Caterpillar DGU design provides for a robust frame and an integrated fuel tank for 12 hours of continuous operation. The fuel used is diesel, fuel oil, crude oil.
Caterpillar diesel generators are fully operational and performance tested. Overload is allowed at 10% for one hour every 12 hours of operation. The average electrical load of 80% of the rated power must be observed.
